One of those things is the ability to control your AV gear with a product from ThinkFlood, Inc called RedEye. When docked your device becomes a handy remote control and allows you to put away all those other remotes. Although there are many "universal remote controls" you could use, the RedEye hits the spot for some basic AV installations where the TV is located in plain sight along with the receiver, DVD and other equipment. The dock transmits via an IR flood to the components as long as they are in direct line of sight. It also allows for some excellent customization options and layout on your iPod screen. You will need to keep the RedEye dock close to where you sit to use your selected iPod as the range is limited between the two. Setup can be a pain and there were problems with firmware updates. In reading reviews others have had the same issues. Once you wade through that issue it works well. One item that has been added in the second generation is an IR out so that the dock could control AV gear hidden away in a cabinet. Retails for $199.

Movie Party Snacks

Here is a recipe from a customer that you all may enjoy during your next party or movie marathon.

Lemon Bars

2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
1 cup butter
4 beaten eggs
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup flour
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt

Sift together 2 cups flour and confectioners sugar.
